 There's a new kid in town, and his name is "Willie". After lovingly collecting antiques and other unique art pieces for over 36 years, Jim Raidl and his best friend, Willie, an adorable Bichon Frise, have opened a quaint, whimsical antique shoppe reminiscent of jolly old England in the Country Stores Courtyard in Duncans Mills.
The shop, tucked away in a corner adjacent to the Courtyard Gazebo, features a treasure trove of antiques & collectibles from several eras. Jim would say his wares range from the "sublime to the ridiculous". A colorful Carousel Horse welcomes you along with stuffed (real) chickens, kitchen collectibles, fine china, crystal and much more. The small space has been transformed with rich earth tones, luxurious drapery, a vintage fireplace mantle, oriental rugs and unique display pieces. It has become a cozy nook that is inviting and appealing to the senses, but also comfortable for browsing for that "special hidden treasure".
